The government of Canada published a news informing that for the next parent and grandparent sponsorship applications in 2017, there will be a new selection system implemented.
In this system which launches from 3, January 2017, the qualified applicants will have 30 days to complete an online expression of interest on IRCC website. Then IRCC will randomly choose 10,000 applications and invites them to submit their fully completed application package.
During the 30 days period, IRCC will remove all duplicates and disqualified online application and selection will only take place between the correct applications.
It is worth mentioning that even if the applicant creates a correct online application and receives the invitation to apply, one single mistake on the application will result in losing the spot which will cause another full year of eating time.
